Massage Therapy

Soft tissue manipulation with physical, functional, and psychological goals has been practiced for centuries. The word "massage"comes from French, Arabic, or Latin roots meaning "friction of kneading", "to touch, feel or handle" or "mass, dough". Older theories point towards Hebrew and Greek origins. Needless to say the history of massage therapy is long and well tested.

Manipulating the body using pressure, tension, motion, or vibration, targets tissues include muscles, tendons, ligaments, skin, joints, or other connective tissue. Massage can be applied with the hands, fingers, elbows, knees, forearm, and feet. There are over eighty different recognized massage variations.
